Tatine candles are hand poured and hand blended using luxurious perfume oils to delicately fragrance any room.

Using only pure soy wax for the Garden + Forest Infusions and Patisserie lines and blending soy with the finest grade paraffin for the Pillars line, Tatine candles are hand crafted by owner Margo Breznik using recipes she has created and developed over the last 10 years. The candles are made in small batches, using a different process for each line that takes anywhere from 24 to 48 hours to complete. Tatine candles are made with a human touch, not by a mass-produced factory process. Hand tying every wick, hand blending perfume oils, colors and ingredients into each batch, hand pouring and hand labeling result in a truly unique candle. No two will ever be identical.

How to burn a candle
Trim the wicks on your candles with scissors before you relight them each and every time. Your candle will last longer and will burn cleaner and quieter. Dispose of the wick trimmings, do not drop them in the candle wax. Never leave a lit candle unattended. Keep away from drafts, children and pets. Keep out of the sun or extreme temperatures. Place your candle on a heat safe holder, never directly on furniture. Dispose of candle when only 1/2 inch of wax remains.

VOTIVES
Votives are made to liquefy and must be burned inside a glass holder, never on a plate or in a bowl. Put a few drops of water in the bottom of your votive cup to make removal easier.

PILLARS
Remove outer label before use. Allow your new pillar candle to burn long enough the first few times you light it: the rule of thumb is one hour per inch in diameter. Burning for too short a time makes the candle tunnel down the center, leaving a large amount of wax behind. Gently blow out the candle flame so as not to spill wax over the edge or onto surrounding walls or furniture.

CONTAINER CANDLES
Our glass-filled containers and travel tins should be burned for at least three hours at a time. Any less than that may cause the candle to burn a hole down the center, leaving a lot of unused wax behind. Container candles are highly concentrated and may smoke if the wick isn’t trimmed. The containers can become very hot: do not handle while lit or when a full wax pool is present.
